Abstract

385 students of both sexes from grades 11th and 12th of Liceo B-12 of La Unión were surveyed and also 98 of their parents, a percentage of 72.2 of the students live with both parents. Half of children have more confidence in their mother and a third in none of their parents, 51.9% of the children state they have received sexual education from their parents most of children and their parents consider the quality of time spent on them is more important than the quantity. 13% of the children do not know whether their parents love them or not. The conflicts parents/children varied according to sex. The main demands of children were more freedom, more affection and more respect. 25.8% of daughters and 40% of sons declared to be satisfied with their parents. The necessity to improve the communication and affective approach between parents and sons is established.
