Validación de la escala de riesgo del Programa Infantil a nivel local

The purpose of this paper is to give validity to Ministry of Health Child and Adolescent Medical Care Program risk scale, in local level. To a total of 312 milkfeeding under control on a periphery urban clinic, during the first two years of life, they were classified in according to 1he mentioned scale in two groups: with risk and without risk. These groups were confronted, according to the data consigned in the clinic record during the two first years of life, in connection with: morbidity consultations of all reasons, diagnosis of pulmonary illness, diarrheas and malnutrition. There is no statistical differences between both groups in relation to the health discuse indicators used; on the other hand, the group defined us risk represent 3/4 parts of the children total. This finding made Controvertible the application of this risk scale at the studied local reality. It is concluded than it seem necessary to give validity to the risk scale in local levels and in those cases where it doesn‘t show operative, it is suggested to design scales adequated to the local reality.
