Abstract

An evaluation is carried out on activities of the Health Program for Infants and Adolescent (1980 version) of the Ministry of Health, applied to underage infants at the Center of the Cares of Primary Health "La Faena" dependent from the Metropolitan East Health Service. (N 1.398 in 1980). The work was fulfilled with an aleatory samole of 117 infants (8,4%) and informations on 100 infants through the revision of their clinical records. 29% of these infants did not present an account of the minimum calendar of health care during the first year. Only one, among 15 infants of feeble weight of birth was considered as "in state of risk". The standard of quality of the first health control accumulated a punctuation of 33,8% on a quality of 100%. A 27% did not respect the vaccination calendar at the age of 11 months. 42% had the benefit of a visit to the home by a health agent and not any of an education group. The authors conclude that a systematic evaluation of the observance of Ministerial Patterns should permit the increase the level of efficiency and of efficacy of the Program. Implementation of its is considered as urgent.
