From a relational point of view, social networks are not only a context for the interaction between the individual and the disease or crisis in a broader sense, but they are also recursive determinants of the recovery or deterioration of the particular person. In this work some concepts are exposed for the understanding of this emerging issue for Medicine in general and for Mental Health in particular, justifying the multidisciplinary approach to the disease that includes the social as the focus of intervention.
