Abstract

The career of Dr. Andrei Tchernitchin Varlamov represents a unique convergence of biomedical research, environmental health, professional advocacy, and human rights engagement. This article critically examines his legacy, highlighting his contributions to environmental toxicology, his influence on public policy in Chile, and his role in the Forensic Scientific Panel on the Pablo Neruda case (2011–2026), where science became an instrument of historical truth.
