Deathliness associated to illicit drugs

The issue of illegal drugs is a broad topic. Their various edges are constantly being debated in our society. How- ever, the debate has a lack of broader sanitary approaches that could contribute to improving the quality of observations and proposals in order to move forward. As a way of approaching the risk of using illicit drugs, the present document offers a literature review of the concerning lethality associated risks with drug use. A selection of articles were studied and frequency regarding use and causes of various drugs were obtained. In addition, deaths were analyzed and classified into two groups: on the one hand, based on the effects of these substances and the risk inherent in their consumption; and on the other, based on related conditions and causes. According to the executed review, it can be concluded that from the sample bibliographic peer-review, an important num- ber of deaths could have been avoided. The present document, delivered remarks and bibliographic references shedding light to the debate around the contributions that the bioethical approach can give the consumption and the presence of drugs.
