Abstract

Dr. A. Jirón, last Minister of Health in Dr. Salvador Allende’s Government of Chile (1971-73), reviews the current validity, as presented in technical journals, of the theoretical health standings of Dr. Allende during his medical, parliamentarian and presidential career, as already presented in his 1939 book ‘The medical and social reality of Chile’, written when he was Minister of Health in President’s Aguirre.Cerda government (1938-1941). Thirty years before his Presidency, seventy-five years before present day, the coincidence is total.
