Historiography of Public Health: a regard from within

Abstract

This review is a methodological introduction to an empirical research on preventive medicine integrated with clinical teaching, published in the previous issue of this journaI. It summarizes the main approaches to the historiography of national public health, of task groups, leaders of schools of thought and of current issues in the discipline.
