Abstract

The global climatic condition and the uncertain national socio-political state have led in Chile to necessary discussions about the relationship between political-economy and nature. In this article, we make a reflection, incorporating theoretical elements and Chilean empirical models to brie y analyze the role of scientific knowledge in the intersectional study of the nature. The generation and application of inclusive methodologies recognize that the relations of domination by capital and patriarchy are part of the production process of the nature. A traditionally exclusive and individualistic approach prevents progress towards developmental alternatives that recognize or generate other models, based on the defense of the life, human and non-human, in close coexistence with inert forms.
