Abstract

Objective: know the variables that influence in the motivation of the diabetic patients type 1 and 2, thus to offer to a better control and adhesion to the treatment. Material and methods: descriptive study, using DAS -3 scale to diabetic patients type 1 and 2. Results: distribution by similar sex in both groups of patients, with an average of age of 29, 5 years (DM 1) and 59.1 years (DM 2). The educational level was greater in the group of patients with DM 1, p<0,05 Conclusion: is necessary that the information that provides the professionals fits to the necessities of the patients in a clear and adapted language to each reality. The communication is the fundamental tool to favor the adhesion and to improve the welfare quality.
