Alignment of Public Health and Safety through the Risk Approach

It seeks to problematize the use of the ecological model in Public Health to address violence. argue that the risk paradigm as an explanatory element is insufficient to understand the problem and its social causes. By transferring the responsibility for violence to behaviors of the subjects, from which prevention actions are generated, it justifies and contributes to hardening security policies. It is necessary to transcend this way of approaching violence and begin to think about it in a more comprehensive way, this is less as isolated actions carried out by individuals and more as a result of social processes.
