Características psicosociales de la embarazada adolescente en Valdivia

Resumen

In this study a preliminary approach to the psychosocial context was aimed related with the pregnant adolescent in order to get to know aspects about the reaction of the young women in a crisis situation, her attitude to pregnancy and the future perspectives of personal development and, get to know the reaction of the couple, family and school about the early pregnancy and the type of support they give in order to overcome the crisis. The studied population was formed by 147 pregnant adolescents, less than 17 years old, that controlled their pregnancy trough the P.A.I.A.E., Consultorio Gil de Castro - Valdivia. The results obtained show the existence of a group of psychosocial factors of risk, as well at the adolescent as at the support nets, what provide to a certain extend a familiar and environmental atmosphere that make adaptation and resolution of the problem they face difficult, because they don’t have the required resources, on the other hand, the school doesn’t favor the stay in the school system of those girls that were studying regularly when they became pregnant.
