Keywords:
integral perspective, social sciences and public healthAbstract
In order to advance in the development of an integral perspective for the study of public health, this paper shows some of the main contributions from social sciences to the analysis of the health-disease process, as these elements relate to public health: demography, sociology, epidemiology and anthropology. Finally, to advance on training and research in public health, the authors propose a bidimensional matrix show ing how each of the theoretical and methodological elements must be integrated to different levels of analysis of the subject-matter.
